Mark P. Bushway , Region President, Atlantic Region

Mark P. Bushway has served as our Region President of the Atlantic Region since August 2018. Mr. Bushway previously served as our Region Vice President of Operations, from November 2010 to August 2018. Mr. Bushway also has served as our National Director of Real Estate & Construction (November 2008 to November 2010); Operations Project Manager (2006 to 2008); and General Manager in our Chesterfield Distribution Center (2003 to 2006). Prior to joining us, Mr. Bushway served as Regional Project Manager for C&S Wholesale Grocers from 2000 until 2003 as well as holding various other leadership positions in his time at C&S, which began in 1989.

J.J. Cantrell , Region President, South Region

J.J. Cantrell has served as our Region President of the South Region since April 2019. Previously Mr. Cantrell served as our Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Sales – Blue Marble Brands. Prior to joining UNFI in 2008, he pioneered the brand Pacific Foods which is now owned by Campbell’s Foods.

Jack Clare, Chief Information Officer

Jack Clare has served as our Chief Information Officer since March 2020. Mr. Clare previously served as Chief Information and Strategy Officer at Dunkin’ Brands since July 2012. Prior to joining Dunkin’ Brands, he served as the Vice President, IT and Chief Information for Yum! Restaurants International after spending seven years with Constellation Brands, most recently as its Vice President, Technical Services. Earlier in his career, Mr. Clare was a System and Flight Test Engineer with the United States Air Force.

Steve P. Dietz, Region President, Pacific Region

Steve P. Dietz has served as our Region President, Pacific Region since August 2018.  He previously served as Vice President of Sales, Pacific Region from August 2016 to August 2018 and Executive Vice President, Tony’s Fine Foods from August 2012 to August 2016.  Mr. Dietz also held various leadership roles in Sales, Marketing and Procurement at Tony’s Fine Foods from August 2000 to August 2012.  Prior to joining us Mr. Dietz served as a Product Marketing Manager at Intel Corporation.  He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.

Jim Gehr, Chief Supply Chain Officer

Jim Gehr was appointed our Chief Supply Chain Officer in May 2020. Mr. Gehr previously served as President, Retail North America for DHL Supply Chain since 2004. He also led DHL’s transportation organization as President, Transportation North America from 2013 to 2016. Prior to joining DHL in 1990, Mr. Gehr was a senior manager at Ernst & Young.

Paul S. Green, President, Fresh

Paul S. Green was appointed to the position of President, Fresh in May 2020 where he oversees the Company’s meat and produce merchandising teams. Green was our Chief Supply Chain Officer since August 2018. Mr. Green previously served as our President, Pacific Region from August 2016 to August 2018, Senior Vice President, Operations from June 2014 to August 2016, and Vice President, Operations from May 2010 to June 2014. Prior to joining us, Mr. Green was Vice President of Sales for PFG-Springfield, MA from 2008 until 2010 and Vice President of Operations for PFG-Springfield, MA from 2005 until 2008. Mr. Green held various other leadership positions in his ten years at PFG. He began his career with Fleming Foods and held several positions over 16 years.

Tandy Harvey, Region President, Central Region

Tandy Harvey has served as our Region President of the Central Region since April 2019. Prior to its acquisition by UNFI, Ms. Harvey served as Vice President of Sales and Operations for SUPERVALU’s West Region since 2016. Her experience prior to that included key leadership roles in merchandising, category management, advertising and operations. Before beginning her career in the grocery industry, Ms. Harvey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Southern Illinois University.

Amanda Helming , Chief Marketing Officer

Amanda Helming was appointed our Chief Marketing Officer in July 2020. Ms. Helming previously served as CMO for UNO Restaurant Holdings Corporation. Prior to joining UNO, she spent seven years at Dunkin Brands, Inc. most recently serving as Vice President, Brand Strategy, Global Consumer Insights & Pricing. Earlier in her career, Ms. Helming worked at General Mills as well as Disney and ESPN Media Networks.

David Matthews , President, National Sales

David Matthews has served as our President, National Sales since July 2018. Mr. Matthews previously served as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales. Prior to that, Mr. Matthews was our International President from 2010 to 2015 and President of our Eastern Region from 2009 to 2010. Prior to joining UNFI, Mr. Matthews was the Chief Executive Officer of Progressive Group Alliance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Performance Food Group.

John Raiche , Executive Vice President, Supplier Services

John Raiche has served as our Executive Vice President, Supplier Services since August 2018.  Mr. Raiche held numerous roles in his more than two decades with the Company, including responsibilities managing Marketing, Events, Category Management, and Supplier Management functions. He also was a minority owner and Vice President, Marketing at B.I.N. Sales and Marketing for 5 years, at the time the largest independent broker in the Natural industry.  Mr. Raiche has been a previous Council Member of the Specialty Food Association for 6 years.

Michael J. Seekins , Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Strategy

Michael J. Seekins has served as our Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Strategy since August 2016. Mr. Seekins previously served as our Vice President of Supply Chain from August 2015 to August 2016 and Vice President of Transportation and Logistics from October 2014 to August 2015. Prior to joining us, Mr. Seekins was Vice President of Transportation for Performance Food Service from 2006 until 2014.  Mr. Seekins held various other leadership positions in his 15 years at PFG.  He began his career within the transportation industry where he held various positions over the 9 years prior to joining PFG.   Mr. Seekins served in the United States Air Force from 1986 until he was Honorably Discharged in 1990.

Mike Stigers , Cub Foods CEO

Mike Stigers has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cub Foods, Minnesota’s largest retail grocery chain, since November 2018. Prior to its acquisition by UNFI, Mr. Stigers served as SUPERVALU’s Executive Vice President of Wholesale and Supply Chain Services since 2016. Mr. Stigers prior experience included serving as President of Shaw’s / Star Markets; Regional Vice President of Sterilox Fresh, a food safety company; and Chief Operating Officer of PW Supermarkets. Mr. Stigers began his grocery career as a part-time courtesy clerk at Safeway and has been active in several trade associations, including the California Grocers Association, past president of Western Association of Food Chains, and current Chair of National Grocers Association.

Matt Whitney, Senior Vice President, Sales Strategy and Business Transformation

Matt Whitney was appointed our Senior Vice President of Sales Strategy and Business Transformation in February 2020. Prior to joining UNFI, Mr. Whitney was the Corporate Vice President of Field Transformation at Sysco. While at Sysco, he also held various other senior roles including Executive Vice President of their Boston division, and Head of the Integration Management Office for Sysco’s proposed acquisition of US Foods. Earlier in his career, Mr. Whitney was a partner in a strategy consulting firm, and he also worked in mergers & acquisitions, as well as a venture-backed food technology start-up. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
