United Natural Foods, Inc. (Nasdaq: UNFI) (the "Company") is scheduled
to hold its Annual Meeting of Stockholders on Wednesday, December 18,
2013 at 11:00 a.m. eastern standard time at the Providence Marriot
Downtown, 1 Orms Street, Providence, Rhode Island and on the Internet
through a virtual web conference at www.virtualshareholdermeeting.com/unfi2013.
The matters to be voted on at the meeting are set forth in UNFI's Proxy
Statement, which was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange
Commission on November 6, 2013.
UNFI stockholders of record at the close of business on October 21, 2013
will be entitled to attend the meeting. Any UNFI stockholder who
received a Notice of Proxy or a proxy voting card will be able to enter
the virtual conference by using the dedicated 12-digit access proxy
control number included in the proxy materials they received. Once in
the shareholder meeting, UNFI stockholders can hear the live meeting and
cast their vote or ask questions at the appropriate times during the
meeting.

virtual web conference portion of the Annual Meeting.
A webcast replay of the annual meeting will be available until January
